The CBO and Opportunity Programs Committee of NYSACAC would like to invite all interested students to Looking Past High School & What Your Future Holds!

We are hosting this event to help guide students from 9th through 12th and beyond to explore their post-secondary options and start planning for their future. During this program you will hear from experts in the field detailing different options and resources, as well as how to start preparing for whatever path you choose after high school!
  

This workshop will be broken into 3 breakout rooms covering different topics:

• Early Awareness for the College Process - Families and students will learn about how to start thinking about and planning for the college process, extracurricular activities, and your future! This breakout room is geared towards 9th & 10th graders.

• Alternatives to College- Families will learn about affordable alternative options to college, which include vocational training, gap year/service programs and employment services. This breakout room is open to all grades, but is geared towards families and students in grades 11-12 who are thinking about taking a gap year or who are not considering college.

• Saying "Yes" To College, Now What? - Many high school seniors who have selected the college of their choice on May 1st don't realize that they still have many more steps they are required to complete before they are considered to be in good standing to register for classes. The presentation will address the enrollment steps and help 12th graders be organized and prepared for the fall semester.
