The Julia Forman Scholarship

Please utilize the scholarship application. There is no separate application for this scholarship. Students will be considered based on their essay and counselor notes.

This scholarship is offered in the name of Julia Forman. She served as a government relations co-chair on the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling executive board, and legislative sessions co-chair on the association's conference steering committee, work for which she and her co-chair won the Rising Star Award in 2020. Julia was deeply passionate about her work and dedicated to helping underserved students. She was a friend with a heart of gold who loved as fiercely as she advocated in her work. Her laughter and positive spirit lit up any room. In honor of her legacy, we will award a scholarship for a student who has shown commitment to creating an equitable and supportive environment in education.

Applicant must:
  • show passion and dedication to social justice
  • discuss or present a change they have contributed to
  • discuss how advocacy has assisted in their work

If you have questions about the scholarship, please contact our Scholarship Committee at [email protected].

Application will be posted in February 2025!
